Radiance is an adaptation of my Listening to the Hymns of Creation for solo clarinet and choir, now reimagined for clarinet and piano. Inspired by the Vijnana Bhairava, a medieval Tantric text, the piece portrays the interplay of dynamic energies and the steady consciousness central to Tantric philosophy. Here, the clarinet embodies human dynamism and questioning, while the piano evokes the steady presence of divine awareness—a shimmering, radiant backdrop to the clarinet’s lyrical exploration.
