The Beast ravages the stage in Missouri!

The only unfortunate thing about the premiere of The Beast is that I couldn’t be there to hear it in person. The performance took place at the NASA (North American Saxophone Alliance) conference and by all accounts, it lived up to its name.

Hats off to Geoffrey Landman for taking on a piece that may very well be the most technically demanding work I’ve ever written. I’m absolutely indebted to him for the focus determination it took to master and and bring down this virtuosic monster.
